For one month, as part of the organisation of e a s a . l i n k s 2015, we took over part of the Valletta ditch and fortifications, including a series of underground tunnels and bridges, spaces within a historic 16th century city which were otherwise abandoned. A temporary village was set up to host 500 architecture students for two weeks. Over two weeks 35, simultaneously running workshops took place in the fortifications, accompanied by events and a public lecture series, culminating in an exhibition of architectural installations, research and performance.

EASA [European Architecture Students' Assembly] is a two-week long event incorporating workshops which create dialogue, enhance architectural education and encourage collaboration between young architects coming from all over Europe. The EASA Malta foundation was formed to support the organising team for the 35th EASA edition, held in Valletta. This two year long experience involved an enormous resposibility, teamwork and dedication and was done on a voluntary basis. My main roles included curating the workshops, organising an international lecture series, preparation of PR material, finding sponsorship, co-ordinating media coverage, construction and infrastructure on site as well as managing the workshops during the assembly.
